I’m the creator of Barbell Pilates, am a barbell training enthusiast and full-on meathead!
In other words, I love lifting heavy weights and pushing my body to accomplish great feats of strengths. Maybe you can relate?

They are the Yin-Yang of smart fitness training, and I’m here to show you how to do both in a way that gets you results and keeps you injury-free.
Years of poor movement patterns, sitting at a desk at my 9-to-5 job, and mismanaging my recovery led to an unfortunate shoulder injury that nagged me for years! It stalled my progress in everything, from CrossFit to Powerlifting!
Once I started using Pilates 3-4x a week in conjunction with my lifting, I felt the difference in my body and my training:
- My shoulder injury disappeared
- My posture improved
- All my lifts felt smoother
- I PR’d like a mofo
- My flexibility improved
Today, I coach and teach Pilates full-time in San Diego, helping my clients unlock their athletic potential and prevent injury as they get older.
